Hello!  Welcome!  Do you have a difficult time coming up with writing ideas?  Do you want or need to practice writing skills?  If so, you are in the right place.  Starting today, I am posting writing prompts or story starters on Mondays.
Today's prompt is a list.  That may not sound like a "real" writing prompt.  Yet, listing can be an important step in the writing process.  Lists serve as things to remember, ways to categorize, steps in prewriting, and other purposes.  They are great ways to brainstorm or just get the mind tuned up.
So, get out your writing tablet or open that blank document on your computer and make yourself a list.  If you want, feel free to make them separate lists; such as one for people, one for places, etc.  Don't forget to write why these are important to you.
Feel free to comment some of your highlights!  I hope you enjoy this new feature!  Stay tuned next Monday for the next writing prompt or story starter!

Under PLACES~I just went to NYC for the fist time in October~ it was wonderful and I loved it!! I live in a small town(but close to Kansas City)~ ~ So in this I got to see and feel the story Country Mouse and City Mouse~a life view of comparing. Comparing makes you think~we ask ourselves a lot of questions that way. Great start, Jodi <3

What a great concept. At the moment, I already have my blog topic this week, but this will be a perfect idea when I need to come up with something. Thanks!

Jodi you always amaze me with what you come up with next. I believe you are really going to make it big on your ideas. Who besides English teachers know how to write without no spelling or grammar mistakes. I know I sure don't.

Thank you, Joyce. I appreciate the kind words. I haven't ever had an English class of my own. The kindergarten classroom has been my second home for a while. I have tutored English and subbed in English classrooms though. Plus, I have written quite a few papers in college. LOL!

Thank you, Danna. I enjoyed hearing about your trip and your comparison. Yes… I think comparing makes you ponder. It is a great habit and trait…to compare. (Well… as long as it isn't in a judgmental way. LOL!)
