Now it is your turn to tell a story about the good ole days! What story would you have a grandmother tell her granddaughter or grandson about her childhood? Would you include something that is totally different than what the grandchild knows? Or, would you have it a story that shows that things aren't so different now than they were back then? You decide!
Hello everyone! I haven't written any historical fiction yet. However, I do like to think about how things were in the "olden days." It sometimes fascinates me that some things that I did as a child, my own child hasn't even seen. Things change over time. Some of the things that my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents did, I have never even tried or seen.

Hello everyone! Today's writing prompt is a little different than previous ones. Today, there is a list of words and you have to try to work them all into a story some how. It doesn't matter in which order you use them as long as they are all in the story somewhere. Can you write a story that includes the words: mouse, banjo, dog, silly, jump, grandpa, food, moose, chase, and fish? Good luck! If you choose to use this writing prompt and would like to share it with me, I would love to see what you wrote. If done well, I bet this would make a great little children's story! Hello everyone! Today's writing prompt is to list your favorite animal and why it is your favorite. It can be a specific animal, like maybe your dog, Rover. Or, it can be dogs in general…or whatever your favorite animal may be. Many children's stories feature animals. Maybe not as much, but they are found in MG, YA, and adult books as well. So, to bring to mind how you feel about animals may give you a great idea for a story. And, to me, that is the point of a writing prompt… to give you an idea when you are experiencing writer's block. |
