I Wonder… The Health Benefits of Cardamom

I wonder.  Today, I was doing some wondering.  What do you wonder?  Here is the story of my wondering:
I have been trying to be a little healthier lately.  One of the things I have been doing is drinking tea.  I don't know much about teas, but know that they are supposed to be a healthy drink choice.  Today, I drank some tea that had cardamom in it.
I have heard that cardamom has health benefits.  So, today, I wondered the health benefits of cardamom.
Later in the week, join me when I show you the answer I have found.

I Wonder Answer about Different Pencil Markings

1/30/2015

Hi everyone.  Earlier in the week, I asked the question:

"I wonder how the markings of the different pencils I have will look on art paper."

To find the answer, I took my art pencils out.  I wrote the hardness numbers/letters for each. Then, I scribbled a little bit with hard pressure and a little bit with soft pressure for each next to the hardness numbers/letters that represented each.  This was all done on a scrap piece of artist's paper.  (I will keep the scrap for reference until I get to know what each pencil can do.)  And, I am happy to say that:

I learned something new!

I Wonder Question about Different Pencil Markings

Hi everyone.  I am getting exploring my art interest more now.  So, my "I Wonder…" for today is:

I wonder how the markings of the different pencils I have will look on art paper.  (This is important to know as an artist, so I can choose which pencil will give me the look I want when sketching and drawing.)

This is what I mean by natural learning.  This is "I Wonder…" is something that interests me.  So, I start with the wondering.  Then, I go to the questioning phase.  And, that leads to the seeking of an answer.  This is the best way to promote learning, that is… to promote wondering, questioning, and seeking of an answer.

Stay tuned for the answer!

Now… what do you wonder?  Please, comment below or feel free to contact me.  Thank you.

Hello everyone!  I think one of the best precursors to learning is the act of wondering.  That is how learning should be.  It is natural to wonder and to want to learn.  It seems that not enough of it is promoted and nurtured.  Hopefully, I will promote the fun, "I wonder…" kind of learning here.
Too many times, someone says, "I wonder what would happen if…" or "I wonder how…" or "I wonder what…" or I wonder whom…" or "I wonder when…" and it is just shrugged off by an, "I don't know."  Then, it stands with that.  Nothing further happens.  It is sad, because no matter the reason for shrugging off those statements, the end result is still the same.  The desire to learn takes a beating.
So, feel free to wonder all you want here.  Please, keep it rated PG and family friendly.  However, other than that, it doesn't much matter the subject.  Do all the wondering you would like.  If I don't know the answer, I will try to find a site or reference that may help.  The idea is to have an "I wonder…" post and at a later date reveal an answer.
"I Wonder…" is a great blog for teachers, students, homeschoolers, trivia fans, and life-long learners.  I hope you enjoy it!  Let's wonder and learn together!

As always, feel free to comment below or to contact me.  Thank you.
